This website is owned and operated by The UK Map Centre...

Although we don't have any offices in the London area (therefore cutting overheads) we supply architects, surveyors, planning agents and others in the London area with official Ordnance Survey mapping and data at a reduced cost.

Through our special links with Ordnance Survey we are able to provide customised mapping solutions. Our retail outlet is based within the Tiso Outdoor Experience centre in Glasgow.

We are an authorised Ordnance Survey Mapping and Data Centre, we have direct access to the heart of the Ordnance Survey database which allows us to supply both individuals and business users with the most up-to-date mapping direct from the UK's National Mapping Agency.

The company will use policies and procedures that will ensure the conservation of natural resources while minimising any adverse environmental impact from our operations, including, but not limited to, waste reduction and recycling.

- We will endeavour to perform business electronically, to reduce paper usage

- We will always seek to purchase products that are environmentally friendly, re-usable, recyclable and that do not damage the environment

- Whenever possible, we re-use incoming packaging materials

- Empty ink cartridges and toners are recycled via the Dogs Trust

- The company operates an energy conservation policy to ensure that all non-critical equipment is switched off when not needed and low energy electrical equipment will be preferred for purchase

Ordnance Survey mapping is protected under Crown copyright by virtue of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. Copying of mapping can be authorised under separate copyright licences depending upon the intended use.

Benefits of licensed data By adopting best practice and ensuring that the mapping you use is properly licensed you can take advantage of the following benefits:

You have the reassurance of using location-based information from a trusted content provider with data sourced from the master map of Great Britain
Being legitimately licensed supports your reputation in the marketplace
Maintaining an up-to-date licence is a legal requirement for use of Ordnance Survey data. Not having the correct licence could invalidate your indemnity insurance and result in costly legal fees
